There’s a lot we can do to fight wrinkles while we’re awake, but did you know you can fight wrinkles while you sleep for free?
Of course, you need to follow your normal night time skin regimen… but here’s the secret that’s equally as important. To get the most out of your beauty sleep… be sure to sleep on your back.
Sleeping on your side or belly for 5-8 hours a day will create and/or enhance wrinkles on your face especially around your eyes and mouth. As we get older and lose collagen, our skin isn’t able to bounce back. Over time, these sleep lines will become inset wrinkles. Sad but true.
If you want to take it step further, I recommend sleeping on your back AND keeping your face looking straight at the ceiling. This means not turning your head to either side. This will keep your neck from wrinkling.
It may take a couple of days or a change of your pillow to get comfortable… but it’s well worth the effort. Your future (wrinkle free) you will thank you. 😉 Preventative care is always more effective and affordable than trying to deal with the problem later.
