Le Metier de Beaute: CHEM60 Pro-Peel and GLOW10 ai Mask Set

Happy Wednesdsay!~

Chemical peels usually scare the bejesus out of me. Here’s how it usually goes:

{Chemical peels + my skin = stinging, burning, redness, irritation, regret and tears}

When I was invited to my local Neiman Marcus by Le Metier de Beaute (“the craft of beauty”) to try out their new CHEM60 Pro-Peel and GLOW10ai Mask Set… I was excited and hesitant at the same time. After being reassured that it was a gentle chemical peel, I gave it a chance. I’m happy to report that there was absolutely no irritation!~ My skin was exfoliated, supple, and oh so hydrated!

Let’s get right to it!

Obviously, you should start with a clean face and the eye area should always be avoided. This mask set is a two-part system.

Part 1 :: CHEM60 Pro-Peel

According to Le Metier de Beaute: CHEM60 Pro-Peel is a proprietary blend of salicylic and glycolic acids, gently penetrates the skin’s surface and desquamates dead skin cells to reveal younger-looking skin in as little as 60 seconds. {Diminishes look of fine lines and wrinkles | Increases hydration and reveals smoother-looking skin | Appropriate for all skin types and tones | Apply for 60 seconds and up to 5 minutes | Use up to three times a week}

My observations: The tube comes with a built-in brush (with an on and off switch) and you can use it to apply the peel. I recommend using your fingers so you don’t waste any products within the bristles of the brush. The peel is gel-like in consistency, has no fragrance, and slightly warms when applied to your face. You can leave the peel on your face from 30 seconds to a full 5 minutes. I didn’t feel a stinging sensation upon application, so I got brave and left it on for almost 3 minutes. The mask should be rinsed off with tepid water and pat dry. The peel opened up my pores and left my skin feeling super clean and supple without any irritation! 🙂 Onto the next step…

Part 2 :: GLOW10ai Mask

According to Le Metier de Beaute: GLOW10ai Mask infuses skin with an unprecedented concentration of antioxidants, vitamins and hydrators to help skin renew and rebuild, while strengthening skin’s overall appearance.  {A sophisticated blend of moisturizers helps renew the appearance of damaged, dull-looking skin |The appearance of hyperpigmentation is noticeably lessened and improved | Irritation and redness caused by chemical peels, microdermabrasion and laser treatments are visibly diminished | Suppleness and smoothness are greatly restored, resulting in a fresh, hydrated surface}

My observations:  Immediately after removing the peel, it’s time to apply the Glow10ai mask. This mask is white and is glue-like in consistency (see photo). Use the spatula to apply a thin layer of the gooey mask onto your face (avoiding your eyes and hairline). Wait until the mask is completely dry (5-15 minutes). Then comes the fun part. Start by rolling the ends of the mask and you should be able to peel the entire mask off! The key to a clean “peel” is to apply a thin layer and let completely dry. Don’t worry… you can let the mask completely dry without any tight or pulling sensation. This mask infused my freshly exfoliated skin with tons of vitamins, antioxidants, and hydrators. My skin felt like it had a tall refreshing glass of water… so moist, healthy, and radiant. Thank you Le Metier de Beaute!

Overall observation: This mask set is great for all skin types, but especially great for those who have sensitive skin. Le Metier de Beaute recommend using this mask 2-3 times a week. Each mask works well individually, but are amazing when paired together. I highly recommend this mask set. After my mini spa facial, my skin felt exfoliated, hydrated, and glowing! With repeated use, it promises to even help with hyperpigmentation, which is super exciting for me!  Well done Le Metier de Beaute, well done!

When and where?: I’m not sure the exact launch date of the mask set… but I’ll share on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram when the set is available!~ Once launched, the CHEM60 Pro-Peel and GLOW1oai Mask Set will be available at Neiman Marcus for $260.

Thoughts on other Le Metier de Beaute products: After my mini facial, I got to try other Le Metier de Beaute skincare and makeup products. I’m not very familiar with Le Metier de Beaute, so I was super excited to give them all a try. After a lot of oohs and aahs… I have a few new items on my (ever-growing) wishlist!

– Peau Vierge Fluid: My skin loved it. Smooth, sheer, and natural.
– Peau Vierge Concealer: Dare I say it?! I think I like it better than Cle de Peau’s concealer!
– Finishing pressed powder: My dry skin loved it. No settling into fine lines and wrinkles.
– Lip Creme Lip Gloss: Such beautiful colors!

Have you tried any Le Metier de Beaute products? Please lmk your thoughts!~
