4th of July Inspired Nail Art

I hope you’ve had a great weekend! I can’t believe 4th of July is only a few days away!

Last year, I shared my 4th of July Splatter Paint Nail Art Tutorial which was inspired by the artist Jackson Pollock. The tutorial has been repinned almost 80,000 times on Pinterest and is still one of my most popular posts! Thank you to everyone that has liked, shared, and re-pinned the tutorial!

To celebrate 4th of July this year, I came up with a nail look drawing my inspiration from another amazing artist.

Can you guess the artist that inspired this nail look?

If you guessed Roy Lichtenstein, you’re right!

Here’s a step by step tutorial on how to achieve my
“Lichtenstein Celebrates 4th of July”
nail look!

  1. Prep nails by following my Top 5 Ways to Prevent Chips. Seriously, these tips are a game changer in making your manicure last days longer!
  2. Apply 2 coats of white polish and let dry.
  3. With a shimmery red, draw a diagonal band on the index finger. With a shimmery blue, draw an off centered V on the pinky. Wait for nails to dry.
  4. With your dotting tool (or toothpick), channel your inner Lichtenstein and dot away! I chose red, white, and blue to celebrate 4th of July, but feel free to mix it up and use any color combination and design.

There’s no wrong way to achieve this nail look, so be creative and let loose!
