Once or twice a week, I treat my skin to a mask. Lately there seems to be a ton of ways to mask: Sheet masks, peel offs, rinse offs, and most recently carbonated bubbling masks. If you haven’t heard, there’s also new techniques like multitasking and double masking! Today, I’d like to introduce another way to mask! Say hello to Egg Mousse Mask from Too Cool For School!
A whipped foam facial mask made from egg white and egg yolk extracts that creates a smooth and radiant perfection in as little as five minutes. This whipped, meringue-like mousse facial mask enriched with egg white and egg yolk extracts instantly transforms rough, dull skin into a smooth, radiant complexion in as little as five minutes. Egg white extract purifies and brightens, while egg yolk extract leaves skin hydrated and silky smooth. This unique, frothy facial mask deeply moisturizes and enhances the use of other skin care products for beautifully luminous skin.
Available at Sephora for $20
2 minutes later: The mousse is not as dense as I expected. It felt more like a watery mousse.
5 minutes later: Notice that most of the mousse is gone. The directions read to rinse off after 5 minutes. The rinsing off wasn’t as easy as I thought it would be. There was a slimy film on my face that required a cleanser to completely remove. 🙁
- While the idea is great I didn’t think this mask was special. I will not be repurchasing.
- While I think a mousse mask is a fun idea, Too Cool For School’s execution of the idea wasn’t a home run. If you’re looking for a bubbly or carbonated mask, I highly recommend Elizavecca Milky Piggy Carbonated Bubble Clay Mask (only $10)!
- Having said that, if you’re interested in trying a Too Cool For School product, I highly recommend their Cleansing Mousse Soap. The Mousse Soap is a beautiful dense mousse consistency! Read more about it here!
I hope this review has been helpful! If you have a bubble or mousse mask product that you love (or hate), please comment below! I’d love to hear about them.
