Hello Lovelies! Today, I’d like to share some of my favorite hotel hacks that I use all the time. Some may find my hotel hacks “strange,” but I ALWAYS use them. Please let me know what you guys think and feel free to share some of your best travel/hotel hacks in the comments below!
Hack 1: Dirty Remote Controls
Talk about something dirty that NEVER gets cleaned in hotel rooms! Think about it… everyone touches it and it never gets cleaned or wiped down. Who knows what and who it has come into contact with! Yuck. I used to wipe them down with a Clorox wipe, until I realized I could just put them in a zip lock and never have to touch it! So simple. The remote works fine and I don’t feel gross every time I want to change the channel!
Hack 2: Clean Pillow Cover
As a skincare obsessed person, I’m super picky about what comes into contact with my skin and face. Having said that, I don’t like my face touching the pillow case covers that are in hotels. Call me OCD, but I don’t want to risk a breakout due to the detergent that the hotel uses. Also, the thought of my face coming into contact with a pillow cover that hundreds of people have used grosses me out. So… I always pack an extra T-shirt to use as a pillow cover. Even at the nicest hotel… I do this. Might be overboard, but it gives me peace of mind!
Hack 3: Extra Vanity Space
I’ve saved the best hack for last… At every hotel, no matter how big the counter space is, you can ALWAYS use more right? This hack is something I started doing a few years back and it is by far the BEST hotel hack for a beauty lover. Every hotel has an ironing board. You open it up, cover it with a towel because the ironing board is probably dusty/dirty, and viola… you have a portable vanity! No more digging through your over stuffed makeup bag and dropping items on the bathroom floor! Also, if you’re sharing the bathroom with someone, you don’t have to fight over the counter space. 🙂
I hope you enjoyed these hotel hacks and you’ll be able to use them on your next hotel stay. Please leave me a comment below if you plan on using them or if you have any more hotel hacks to share! I’d love to hear them.
Also, don’t forget to keep in touch on social!!!
